UNVEILING 2018 Participating Artist

Charlotte Ashenden is a painter specialising in oil, watercolour and conté pencils. She greatly enjoys bringing out the individual character and beauty of each subject (mostly children, adults, animals and houses).  Charlotte trained in Art at Suffolk College, then subsequently attended short courses at Heatherley and St Martins art schools, London.

Charlotte’s life changed fifteen years ago when some personal experiences introduced her to Jesus Christ. Since that time she has treasured getting to know him; enjoying his love, companionship, thoughtfulness and care. From 2016 she has felt led to paint images inspired by scripture, the majority of which depict people.
In 2017 several of her new works were selected for various Christian Art exhibitions in the US (two of them, Boy Jesus in Prayer and Gethsemane, receiving awards). All works are available either as original paintings, fine giclée prints or greeting cards.
Her intention and hope is for her art to somehow reveal even a tiny measure of Jesus’ purity, strength and incredible sweetness.
