UNVEILING 2018 Participating Artist

Fola Ekundayo, aka Adukeh (which means ‘Beloved’), is a London-based artist with a Yoruba heritage. She has a passion for the arts,  particularly the ability to empower through storytelling and expression. Major themes of her work include beauty, brokenness, stillness and healing. This reflects her desire to bring others into her profound experiences of God in prayer and meditation.

Adukeh works in many mediums including spoken word, photography, poetry, music and video. Her photography was exhibited as part of the E17 Art trail. She has also presented her poetry as part of the Highams Park Festival as well as participating in local music events.

Adukeh has led participatory community workshops using video and poetry. She has also helped organise film festivals and debates on social issues; such as gun culture and deaths in police custody.

She is currently concentrating on songwriting and poetry performance.
